In 2017, we continued our work in a challenging environment to meet the unprecedented need for life-saving aid.After two years of drought and conflict, thousands have been forced to flee their homes in search of a better future for their children.
Thanks to a concerted effort by donors and partners, the threat of famine in Somalia was averted. However, thousands are still living in IDP camps. This is where we are committed to deliver life saving aid for the greatest impact in the most vulnerable communities.
SAF-UK International has also contributed greatly to the community by hiring and training hundred of health providers including nurses, community mobilizers, community health workers among others. This is key to imparting health and nutrition knowledge to the community for a sustainable future.
